                              RESOLUTION NO. 21510
                 
                 
                 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE MAYOR'S APPOINTMENT 
                 OF JIMMIE DOTSON AS CHIEF OF POLICE AND 
                 AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN APPROPRIATE 
                 CONTRACT WITH HIM.
                 
                 
                                                     
                 
                 
                 
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, that the Mayor's appointment of Jimmie 
       Dotson as Chief of Police, effective October 1, 1997, be and is 
       hereby approved for a term commensurate with that established in 
       the Charter; and
       	    	 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor be and is hereby 
       authorized to execute an appropriate contract for Mr. Dotson's 
       services as Chief of Police.
